Yihe Autism Therapy Center is recruiting children with autism
"Yihe Autism Therapy Center set sail on April 2, 2021. Leveraging the in-depth exploration of the scientific mechanisms behind physiological and psychological characteristics by Yihe Quadruple Life Health Management Institution over the past 15 years, we conduct professional and in-depth interventions from a holistic perspective on life health.
In the past year, we have had the privilege of accompanying 17 families affected by autism, spanning age groups from 4-7 years, 7-12 years, 12-17 years, and 17-22 years. The degree of autism manifestation varies among the children, covering a spectrum from mild to severe, with each individual possessing a unique life system.
Our focus on autism intervention involves observing, analyzing, evaluating, tracking, and comparing across seven main aspects: motor and sensory perception, emotional expression and perception, behavioral performance, language ability, cognition and learning, social interaction ability, and sleep. The emphasis of the intervention is on restoring the child's social functionality, enhancing life quality, guiding families to leverage their strengths, finding unique life meaning in practice, and creating a sense of value and happiness. We also support each family in creating a positive family energy field, inspiring parents to understand what genuine high-quality love is and how to nurture their children with love.
In addition to Yihe Autism Therapy Center's repair of each life system, the effectiveness of intervention depends on various factors such as the child's age, parents' psychological state, environmental factors, and ongoing education. Intervention is a long-term process, and our companion time is around 1.5-2 years.
Our focus on the above seven aspects has led to notable improvements observed in the children after over a year of case tracking:
- Significant improvement in motor coordination, hand-eye coordination, and coordination of various sensory functions.
- More stable emotions, noticeable improvement in emotional recognition and control.
- Marked increase in self-regulation, reflected in enhanced behavioral control and reduced problem behaviors.
- Clear improvement in cognitive abilities, progress in language, expression, and academics.
- Enhanced social skills, increased mental maturity, and overall improvement in the child's capabilities to better adapt to daily life and learning."
Starting point
The world is vast, yet they seem to live only in their own world, afraid of eye contact and unwilling to speak.
Why do they keep hitting themselves even though it clearly hurts?
Why repeat the same language and actions tirelessly, over and over again?
When they endlessly spin in circles, scream loudly when intense emotions strike, in those moments we can't comprehend, what are they thinking? What are they experiencing?
What kind of approach is needed to gently step into their world, placing our palms on theirs, telling them: 'Don't be afraid, let's go to a bigger, less lonely world.' We hope to enter their lives, communicate with them, sit beside them, and let love flow.
Autistic child Higashida Naoki, in his book 'The Reason I Jump,' mentions that despite appearing nonchalant, they often feel guilt and pain. For a healthy child, even if parental love is imperfect, they have the ability to transform. However, the transformation ability of autistic children varies, and even minor things may pose a challenge. Can we understand them?
Getting to know each uniquely individual child will be a healing journey.
